Kellie has had a life-long obsession with writing and marketing. From a young age she has always tried to pull together that elusive perfect sentence and create beautiful images. She is not only a marketer but also a writer and artist.
Kellie had one semester left in her undergraduate degree in history and contemporary politics before her life took a sudden turn and she found herself working together in business with her partner full-time on a side gig that took off. For the next fifteen years she worked growing the fledgling industrial safety business into a national enterprise, looking for innovative and multi-dimensional ways to marketing and branding to keep ahead of the marketplace while exploring growth into new markets.
She has always loved communications and marketing and eventually completed her studies but changed over into a general humanities degree. Kellie enrolled in communications and writing units to support the marketing and branding side of the business. She then went on to complete a post-graduate diploma in broadcast journalism because she loves being on radio and the sound of her voice, an honours in arts, and a post-graduate certificate in marketing. Kellie spent many years developing a solid foundation in both traditional and digital marketing.
Kellie also has an extensive background in website development and design which emerged through the desire to take the business online and create a storefront when there still was a large amount of coding needed to build sites. She began targeting work to align with her passion and began a small marketing business that assisted clients with websites UX and UI development, developing training materials, digital and traditional publishing, graphic design, and technical writing. She is a member of the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd.), the Australian Society of Authors (ASA), and the Australian Publishing Association (APA).
Her current interests involve the wonderful cultural dimensions of Korea, k-dramas, and learning the language. Kellie is also learning 3D animation, creates digital concept art and is writing an urban fantasy book. She can play the lap-steel guitar when pushed and volunteers as treasurer at her son’s Aviation Support Group.
